Investment Process

General description of investment procedures are as follows.

Deal sourcing

JIS utilizes its broad network of investors, including its four main sponsors along with regional financial institutions, securities firms, investment banks, and financial consulting firms to source potential deals.

Initial analysis

Various factors related to the investment are analyzed from the outset. The candidate corporation's operations and financial affairs are analyzed, its competitors and market are studied, its business plans are assessed, and meetings are held with its key persons. Initial hypothesis are built based on the candidate's strengths, competitiveness, weaknesses and challenges it faces.

Initial proposal

An investment framework and the terms and conditions for the investment are proposed.

Due diligence

Through and wide-ranging due diligence is carried out by a team comprised of JIS's investment division members, external experts specializing in finance, legal affairs, and business. Prior to investment proposal, we build stronger relationship with the subject company over through strategy discussions to raise corporate value.

Finalization of investment terms and conditions

The final terms and conditions for the investment will be decided based on findings in the due diligence process.

Investment decision

Decisions concerning the investment are made by an investment committee.

Investment execution

The final agreement is executed and the investment is carried out.
