Since our founding in 1931 as Japan’s first manufacturer of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, we have consistently supplied a wide range of electronic components to the electronics market. However, a large capital injection became essential in order to rebuild our financial foundation which had been damaged by the costs associated with resolving overseas antitrust cases and to grow our production capacity for expanding output of conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors and other products, which are outlined in our 10th Mid-Term Management Plan from 2023.
During this time, Japan Industrial Solutions (JIS) recognized our growth potential and provided financial support by subscribing to our preferred stock starting in December 2023. Throughout their investment period, we received tremendous support and valuable guidance across a broad range of matters, from strengthening of corporate governance including encouraging active discussions and promoting prompt decision-making within our governing bodies such as the Management Committee, and also improving our external communications. We are also deeply grateful to the members of JIS who were seconded to our company to work closely with us at the operational level, providing professional and practical support tailored to our specific needs.
Thanks to their support, our efforts focusing on expansion of sales particularly in the rapidly growing AI server market and improvement in production efficiency enabled us to build a solid earnings structure, achieving a steady recovery in business performance, and complete the redemption of all JIS preferred shares as planned. We would like to express our deepest gratitude for their dedicated support over the past two and a half years. We will continue to strive to further enhance our corporate value, building on the solid management foundation which we have established with JIS.
